THON

Our Families

The Parham Family

The Parham Family has been paired with PBL since January 2015. Over these past seven years, we have gotten to know Omar, Holly, and their wonderful children, Shae, Sylive, and Asher, very well.  Unfortunately their son, Rees, passed away in March 2014 from diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), an inoperable brain tumor. Each year PBL raises money and awareness so that one day, when a child is diagnosed with DIPG, there will be a treatment plan available to fight it.

The Harmon Family

Phi Beta Lambda was paired with Miranda Harmon and her family in November 2018. Since being paired, we have been able to get to know what a beautiful, funny, intelligent young woman Miranda is. Miranda has been cancer free for 2 years! Next Fall, she is starting at Harrisburg Area Community College, then to Penn College afterwards.

MEET OUR THON CHAIRS

Our five THON chairs, Jesse, Sarah, Ryan, Noelle, and Ethan, are the incredible students who dedicate themselves to making PBL as involved in THON as possible. They organize events and fundraisers, maintain strong relationships with our THON families, and serve as a wealth of knowledge for all things THON for our members. Learn more about why they THON!

Our 2022
Dancers

Since 2008, Phi Beta Lambda has raised over $400,000.00 for Four Diamonds at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. That money has helped countless children and their families through cancer diagnoses without ever seeing a bill.

Phi Beta Lambda is represented on the floor this year for THON weekend by Claudia Radzwich, Isaac Goodman, Mary Testa, and Corey Watkins, who will stand for an incredible 46 hours straight in the Bryce Jordan Center.

Our entire brotherhood is involved in our THON efforts through fundraising, support from the stands, and events with our THON families throughout the year.
