why i thon
I THON so that no parent has to ever worry about outliving their children, so no family has to take on the financial burdens in medical bills, and for the hope that one day we’re all able to celebrate a cure. I THON for the Hoglund’s, the Fleagle’s, and all Four Diamonds families!
THON has been a big part of my life since freshman year in high school in 2018, where I was involved in MiniTHON. One of my goals however coming to school here was to get involved with the cause on a bigger stage. Fast forward to today, I’m a third year committee member, serving on a Dancer Relations committee for THON 2024 and THON 2025, and for THON 2026, as a Donor & Alumni Relations committee member. Additionally, I serve as a member of PBL’s THON committee as well. I’m extremely fortunate to have had all of this involvement, as it’s been extremely rewarding knowing how much of an impact being a part of this cause is. From all of it, my favorite THON memory was walking onto the floor for my first shift as a Dancer Relations Committee Member sophomore year. Seeing all of the fraternities, sororities, and organizations jumping and dancing with so much energy is nothing short of inspiring and heartwarming.
