Why i thon
I THON so that children and families facing pediatric cancer never feel alone and always have a community that supports them. I THON so families don’t have to worry about medical bills and so that one day, no child ever has to hear the words, “You have cancer.”
Ever since my freshman year, I have been involved in THON. Being part of such an incredible cause quickly became one of the most meaningful aspects of my college experience. When THON weekend would come, it was always the best 46 hours of the year. It’s when the Penn State community unites to be part of something so much bigger than ourselves. After experiencing that, I knew I wanted to give even more to THON. This year I am honored to be the Fundraising Chair for PBL where I am responsible for all of PBL’s THON fundraising events. I have been fortunate enough to collaborate with so many brothers, other orgs, and the Penn State community all For The Kids®
